Oceania University of Medicine is a new concept in medical education, offering either the MD or MBBS degree in a flexible, student-centered environment. Computer-assisted instruction promotes personal individual attention from on-line tutors and physician mentors in your community.

Oceania University of Medicine is listed in the World Health Organization's World Directory of Medical Schools and is recognized by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. Students and graduates of schools listed by these authorities are eligible to sit for the United States Medical Licensing Exam. OUM graduates physicians prepared to sit for medical licensing exams in Canada, Samoa, and most other countries.

With its campus located on the grounds of Samoa's national hospital complex, OUM attracts students from top universities as well as chiropractors, nurses, physical therapists, physician assistants, paramedics, and other health professionals.

New sessions begin every eight weeks. Students may attend the Introduction to Medicine on campus or transfer credit for the “Introduction to Medicine” course from an affiliate college of OUM’s in the USA. Students return home to take their problem-based, pre-clinical instruction on-line, under the careful guidance of tutors and physician mentors in their hometown. Clinical rotations are offered on-campus in Samoa or may be arranged in teaching hospitals in Australia or the USA.
